After successfully passing the written exam for Deputy Sheriff Detentions/Courts or Deputy Sheriff Law Enforcement, candidates will receive a notification of their score via e-mail.

If you pass the written exam, you will be placed on the eligibility list, and you may be selected for the next step, at which point you will receive an email inviting you to attend a pre-screening orientation, also considered the Pre-Investigative Questionnaire (PIQ).

This orientation can take anywhere between four and five hours. You will be asked to fill out a 53-page questionnaire. Once your questionnaire has been completed and reviewed, you will be notified if you were selected to continue onto the next step in the hiring process. If, for any reason, you were not selected to move forward, you will be removed from the hiring process.
