Sheriff's Detentions, Mental Health Case Management Clinician is a journey level class in the Sheriff's Detentions, Mental Health Clinician series. This is an unlicensed professional social worker class responsible for providing case management services to clients in custody who are diagnosed with mental illnesses.

The department desires a candidate that can communicate effectively, is eager to learn, and willing to work in a correctional facility environment. Clinical supervision for ASW's, AMFT's APCC's will be provided on site.

1. A Master's degree from an accredited graduate school, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field AND
   
   

2. Active registration with the California Department of Consumers Affairs, Board of Behavioral Science   in one of the following: Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).
